Hello! I’m Dr. Stephanie Sampson, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the proud owner of Cache Health.

I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of California, San Francisco in 2024, following a Master of Science in Nursing from Weber State University (2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland (2007). I began my career as a registered nurse in 2007 and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2019, bringing years of clinical experience and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

Originally from rural north-central Florida, I served nine years in the U.S. Army before settling in Cache Valley in 2010 after living in Alaska. My military background continues to shape my approach to medicine—grounded in accountability, collaboration, and respect. I believe the best healthcare happens when patients are empowered to be active partners in their care.

I’m especially passionate about providing inclusive, affirming care for all, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups. At Cache Health, every patient is welcomed with dignity and treated as a whole person.

I live in Hyde Park with my husband, Curtis, and our four amazing sons—Dylan, Max, Eli, and Cole. Our family also includes Ellie, our sweet labradoodle; Gregg, our leopard gecko; and Lucy, a goldendoodle currently training to be a therapy dog. Lucy often accompanies me at work, offering calm companionship and comfort to patients of all ages.

Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my family, especially near the ocean, listening to true crime podcasts, building puzzles, lifting weights, and assembling Lego sets. I’m also a founding board member of Utah Families Feeding Families, a nonprofit committed to fighting food insecurity in our community.

Meet Lucy — Our Therapy Dog (In Training)

Say hello to Lucy, our friendly goldendoodle and therapy dog in training at Cache Health!

Lucy is just six months old but already showing a natural talent for bringing calm, comfort, and connection to our clinic space. With her gentle nature and warm presence, she helps make visits less stressful—especially for children, individuals with anxiety, or anyone who just needs a moment of kindness during their day.

Lucy is currently undergoing formal training to become a certified therapy dog. She’s learning how to offer support while staying calm, respectful, and responsive to patient needs. She’s also supervised at all times and is never in the room unless welcomed by you.

We understand that not everyone is comfortable around animals. If you prefer a dog-free visit, just let us know—we’re happy to accommodate.

At Cache Health, we believe healing can happen in many forms. For some, it looks like evidence-based care and open conversation. And for others, it just might look like a tail wag and a nuzzle from Lucy.
